This should give you a good example of the kind of fun you can have even with very little experience (providing you go with an experienced climber). Please forgive the camera shake and over-use of effects. The former was the product of frequent laughter and the latter the result of inexperience. |

Mad Birds This next video is for you hang glider pilots and wanna-bes out there. It should be called "Wing Envy" and I can't help but grin every time I see it. The next time you see somebody do something brave, think of this movie and remember what those birds are going after and know what true ballsiness looks like. |

Powered Flight This one just has to be seen to be believed. Not a hobby recommended for the soul interested in casual adventure but interesting in that there are certainly some boundaries being pushed here in the sport of sky diving. |

Climber Fall In our Climbing article, we often referenced the amazing strength of the gear you'll use. This fall, which appears intentional, illustrates the message clearly... the gear is incredibly strong... the brains in the heads of those who place it... sometimes not so much. |
Dune Gooning Despite a lack of loops or other extreme flying, this Hang Gliding video is one of my hands down favorites. It really captures the carefree fun of HG and I can't wait to earn my own wings in the near future. |
Unpowered Flight Has to be seen to believed. For when jumping out of a perfectly good airplane and free-falling just doesn't get the ol' blood pumping the way it used to. I remember when these suits first came out and wondering how far the design would someday be pushed. Well, question answered. |
Amazing Approach You'd think Skydiving would be exciting enough but these guys take final approach and low altitude flying to new and astounding levels. Longish video but my eyes were glued from beginning to end. Enjoy. |
Surfing Amazing footage of both an extremely brave/talented surfer and the humbling power of nature. |
Base Jumping The entire jump viewed from a helmet-cam. Jumper is wearing suit that let's him travel at a 1:1 ratio. This is all free fall from a mountain in the Alps with a chute open at something like 100 feet. Scary-brave. |
